| "Danno's River Pages"
is a collection of links to some of my favorite paddlesports message boards and other
miscellaneous web sites. I created this page primarily for my own convenience, but I hope
that other paddlers will use it too. I like to see what other paddlers around the Midwest
are talking about, watch their "For Sale" pages, and generally be aware of
paddlesports issues throughout the Midwest. This page helps me to do that and it comes in
very handy whenever I want to communicate with several different groups of paddlers
quickly and conveniently. I believe that effective communication is the hallmark of a
strong community. Many paddlesports groups are implementing message boards to accomplish
that communication goal, but the paddlesports community as a whole is still very
fragmented because these groups remain fairly isolated, with each group having their own
message board. On the other hand, I do not care for most of the bigger message boards
which try to unite all paddlers on one message board. There doesn't seem to be any perfect
solution, but here is a small collection of my favorite message boards in one convenient
location. I hope that this page of links will help paddlers find and communicate with each
other more effectively. |
